QUARTER-LIFE CRISIS

Reeling with uncertainty, she sent in her college applications. The problem was that she could never stay still enough to study. Her hands drew circles in the sky, and her feet walked along imaginary paths while she sat fidgeting in her chair staring at the books spread open on the table. In her heart she wanted to be an artist. She wanted to write obscure phrases, and paint portraits with her tongue. She wondered whether she was selling out.

  1. i feel this way almost every day when i trudge to class in the cold to sit and listen to apathetic professors... meh.
